Job summary

Were recruiting a new administrative team member to give great service to our 8000 patients. For the right applicant we offer a good working environment and full training. You will work full-time or substantial part-time from 10.30 to 6.30 and 8 to 4 on a rota basis.

Main duties of the job

To undertake all patient service duties as required by the Patient Care Coordinator to a high standard.

  • Reception desk dealing with patient queries
  • Taking inbound and making outbound phone calls
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post and faxes and texts
  • Processing prescriptions
  • Processing registrations
  • Scanning, coding
  • Summarising
  • Liaising with clinical staff where necessary
  • Other administrative processes as requested by the Practice Manager or their deputy
  • Searches and reports
  • Call and recall

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to learn new skills and processes
  • Good attitude and timekeeping
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Able to learn to use our patient record computer system
  • Able to work according to business need between 8.00am and 6.30pm Mon to Fri. Occasionally you will start at 7am or finish at 8pm or help with a Saturday flu clinic

Desirable

  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • Experience using EMIS Web
  • Experience working in healthcare
