Job summary
Maybush Medical Centre is looking to recruit an experienced pharmacy technician to join our friendly practice team. This will be on a part time basis for approximately 25 hours per week. We can be flexible with the hours but ideally looking for 3-4 days per week
We are a successful practice with the highest standards of care. Maybush has approximately 9000 patients and are looking to increase the list site.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be undertaking structured medication reviews, improving medicine optimisation and safety, supporting care homes. Part of this role will also provide a safe and effective Pharmacy Service. To provide professional specialist medicines advice to GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Community Pharmacists, Community Nurses, and other health professionals to promote the safe, effective, and high quality, cost-effective use of medicines in all prescribing decisions for the benefit of the Practice's patients. You will also be actioning acute prescription requests and conducting medicines reconciliation.

The practice is located just on the outskirts of Wakefield city centre, and has ample free parking on site and good local transport links.
The practice operates from purpose-built premises. We a are SystmOne site.
Maybush is an accredited training practice for student nurses, GP's and medical students and offers opportunities to progress and develop, in both clinical and non-clinical capacities.

Qualifications
Essential
- Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Independent Prescriber or willing to work towards

- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent)
