Job summary

We are seeking a part time Medical Receptionist to join our busy, friendly and experienced reception team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and hardworking individual who demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in a GP setting and in using a clinical system (e.g. TPP/EMIS) would be advantageous.

This post is for 25.5 hours per week, to be worked on Monday mornings, Tuesday mornings, Wednesday mornings and all day Thursday. However, the successful candidate must offer a high degree of flexibility to provide additional hours where required to cover sickness and annual leave.

Salary: £11.06 per hour

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

Working alongside a skilled, dedicated and supportive reception team, you will provide a comprehensive and efficient service to the practice population. You will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing appropriate services or healthcare professionals in a courteous and welcoming manner, demonstrating the principles of effective active signposting.

We are a highly respected practice who embraces the collaborative agenda and has a successful track record of delivering excellent primary care. We work collaboratively with three other practices as part of the South Dales Primary Care Network.
