Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time enthusiastic, reliable, and dynamic individual to join our team of dispensers and counter assistants. The role will include dispensing, ordering and stock control of drugs. You will be based at both Market Harborough & Husbands Bosworth Medical Centres. We are looking for a candidate to provide extra cover when needed, to cover sickness and holiday cover.

Main duties of the job

As a dispenser, your main duties will be dispensing, ordering stock and helping patients with queries. You will be picking medications off the shelf as per the prescription and ordering stock as you go along when dispensing. You will also ensure the safe storage of medication and controlled drugs, ensure the process of dispensing is timely and accurate, maintain the on-call drug box stock supplies daily and ensure proper procedure for administration of controlled drugs.

About us

You will provide cover for both Market Harborough & Husbands Bosworth Medical Centres dispensaries for any holiday cover or sickness.

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Pharmacy Services or Equivalent.

Skills

Essential

  • Friendly, polite and calm disposition.
  • Keyboard Skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding, acceptance and adherence to strict rules of confidentiality.
  • Strong personal organisation, self-reliance and motivation but able to work for the team in a flexible manner.
  • Good understanding of primary care issues.
