Clinical Roles -Clinical Lead (Risk and Triage Liaison)- Canterbury
Our Clinical Lead role will be instrumental in leading on clinical risk assessments and supervision within Psicons triage function. You will be supporting the delivery of neurodevelopmental assessments developing and delivering post-diagnostic therapeutic interventions for clients with ADHD and/or autism. You experience will be impactful and vital in ensuring safe, compassionate, and person-centred care for clients accessing Psicons NHS and private pathways.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Risk Assessment and Management
- Act as clinical lead for triage-stage risk assessment across referrals.
- Review and respond to risk concerns raised by the triage team.
- Carry out structured clinical risk assessments and formulate appropriate risk responses.
- Liaise with Clinical Leads, Safeguarding Leads, and GPs where needed.
Triage Team Supervision and Support
- Provide clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and psychology assistants.
- Guide formulation and escalation decisions in triage.
- Support consistent use of Psicon's screening protocols and documentation standards.
Assessment Delivery
- Deliver ADHD assessments (structured clinical interviews and scoring tool integration).
- For adult nurse: deliver ADOS-2 assessments (training will be provided if needed).
- Ensure documentation aligns with Psicon's clinical governance standards and reporting templates.
Post-Diagnostic Therapeutic Interventions
- Design and deliver group-based therapeutic sessions for clients following diagnosis.
- Offer brief individual therapeutic support to clients where appropriate.
- Tailor interventions to neurodivergent presentations (e.g. executive functioning, emotional regulation, self-esteem, identity).
Governance and Quality
- Attend and contribute to Clinical Governance Subgroups, especially those relating to quality and risk.
- Lead and/or contribute to clinical audits relating to triage, risk documentation, or assessment quality.

- RMN / RNLD/ HCPC / BASW or equivalent mental health professional) from an accredited institution.
- Specialization and significant experience in the assessment and treatment of ASD and ADHD (CYP/ adults/ both).
- Able to evidence your experience of managing risk and safeguarding issues within either a CAMHS or Psychiatric service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including within a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintaining compliance as per company regulations i.e., evidence of current registration with your professional body.
- Keep up to date all records in relation to CPD and your personal development plan.
