Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacist to join our well organised GMS practice.

We are a very friendly practice with a really good team spirit.

Working hours can be flexible and involves Hybrid working but to include some time in the practice.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Pharmacist will support the Partners and other clinical staff in the surgery to deliver a programme of medicines optimisation and review, including managing hospital discharge medication changes, secondary care implemented medicines, CQC related medicine changes and practice medication queries. The post holder will be responsible for encouraging the development of better understanding of the principles of medicines optimisation for the clinical staff within the Practice.

GMS Practice - 8500 patients

2 Male Partners, 3 Female Salaried GP's, 1 Male Paramedic and 1 Female Paramedic both working 8 sessions/week.

We have a very friendly, enthusiastic team of GP,s supported by an excellent nursing team and exceptional hardworking administrative staff. We use SystmOne.

We have very high patient satisfaction and pride ourselves on this.

  • -Able to manage own workload and work independently

  • -Excellent IT skills including experience if using SystemOne

  • - Degree in Pharmacy
  • - Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • -Completed or willing to commit to completing CPPE pathway or other primary care training pathway
