This is a permanent position.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should be

- Chronic
Disease Management
- Phlebotomy
- B12
Injections
- Flu
Vaccinations
- Wound care / ulcer care
- Dressings
- Removal of Sutures
- Hypertension Reviews
- ECGs
- Memory assessments
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure measurements
- Routine Adult and Childhood Imms
- Cervical Screening
- Travel Health Advice
- Chaperoning Duties
- Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture,
swabs
- Assisting with other clinical duties
Applicants must have excellent
inter-personal skills and have a great attention to detail.
A minimum of 2 years experience in Primary care
is essential.
About us
We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our team
here at Penny's Hill Practice. We are based in Ferndown Town Centre in walking
distance to all amenities and the local supermarket. The practice shares the
purpose built premises with Orchid House Surgery with a range of community
services also being provided from attached facilities.
Pennys Hill Practice is a six partner practice providing
a range of primary care and community health services from Ferndown Medical
Centre. We run a personal list system for our 6 GP's and have approximately 7500 patients registered with us. We also have 2 practice nurses, 1
Phlebotomist, 1 Phlebotomist / HCA, 1 tracker nurse / HCA and our reception
team.

- Experience of Microsoft office software
- Experience of dealing with the public/patients
- 2 years + experience in primary care
- Up to date with the following skills: cervical screening, dressings, wound care and leg ulcer care

- Experience of SystmOne clinical system
- Leadership and management experience
Qualifications

- Good standard of general education
- GCSE mathematics or equivalent
- GCSE English or equivalent
- A Degree in Nursing or equivalent
