Job summary

We are on a mission to recruit a talented, enthusiastic and motivated GP (six clinical sessions per week, plus 1 paid CPD session pro-rata) to join our friendly, multi-disciplinary team to provide a service where patients quickly and easily receive the right care, from the right person, at the right time to make the patient experience a valuable, patient-focussed approach to care.

We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified GPs.

Working days will be Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Interviews will take place during the evening of Wednesday 11 March 2026.

Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract.

About us

Pocklington Group Practice is a 7-partner dispensing practice with 3.4 FTE salaried GPs located in a purpose built, state of the art healthcare facility in Pocklington, East Yorkshire.

Our ever expanding patient list currently stands at circa 19,000 and we are a training and teaching practice, with a high QOF achievement. We are a member of the York East PCN as well as Nimbuscare and the integrated hub pilot scheme. Our last CQC inspection rated the practice as 'good' and our multi-disciplinary team includes a First Contact Physiotherapist, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Mental Health Nurses, Pharmacists, Dispensers, Administration and Secretarial staff, all who work to achieve the highest standards of care and support at all times.
