Job summary

Pocklington Group Practice is on a mission to recruit a permanent, six session, talented, enthusiastic and motivated GP who is passionate about patient care and keen to develop. Weekly working days will be Monday, Thursday and Friday with an ideal start date of 02 February 2026.

As an ARRS GP role, the post is open to newly qualified GPs (within two years of CCT) and who have not held a substantive post as a GP in general practice.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • providing high-quality clinical care to the practice population.
  • working closely with clinicians to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary care.
  • participating in MDT meetings, clinical discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • supporting continuity of care and managing both acute and chronic presentations.
  • contributing to proactive population health initiatives developed at local and PCN level.
  • providing clinical leadership and mentorship, where appropriate.
  • in addition to your sessions, you will be required to participate in the Extended Access hours which are outside normal working hours.
