The closing date is 04 January 2026

Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic ANP to join our clinical team. We are looking for 15 hours per week but we do have some flexibility for the right candidate if required.

We are a friendly, successful, 4 Partner practice situated in the heart of Thornbury committed to providing high quality patient health and care services to our c.9000 patients. Our ethos is built upon some core values including safe, accessible and continuous service for each of our patients.

  • We hold a PMS Contract
  • We use EMIS Web
  • We provide a full range of enhanced services.
  • We are high QoF achievers
  • We have an active working relationship with our PCN member practices.

Main duties of the job

We would expect the successful candidate to:

Work autonomously using their enhanced clinical assessment and treatment skills, to provide first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, diagnosed problems relating to minor illnesses or injury.

They should be autonomous in making decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and interpretation of test results.

They can independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists if necessary. ANP's in this role will focus on same day medical need patients.

About us

We are a friendly, social team and fair well in the annual GP Patient Survey and have a growing list size.

We are also a GP training practice with 3 of the 4 Partners registered as trainers, therefore we commonly have learners with us. In addition, we are supported by 3 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, a highly successful nursing team and a dedicated and supportive reception and administrative team.

We operate a more traditional model of general practice. We have recently introduced formal care navigation. Most of our appointments are face to face and we strongly believe in continuity of care. Our GPs & ANPs work collectively as a team to ensure the well being of each other.
