Job summary
Keston Medical Practice have a vacancy to join their secretarial team. The successful candidate must be aware that patient confidentiality is paramount to this role. Candidate must be proactive and reactive to daily tasks. They must be aware of time sensitive requirements throughout the day and be able to prioritise effectively.

Main duties of the job
Daily use of NHS in house patient information centre (EMIS)
Candidate will be transcribing various letters/referral letters throughout the working day using dictation software, some of which uses voice recognition. These will need to be processed via an electronic booking system or emailed to appropriate agency.
candidate will be responsible for managing the electronic booking system worklists on a daily basis and prioritising information and forwarding on to relevant parties within the practice.
Managaing outstanding task requests regarding patients/referral request/general GP requests in a timely manner.
Responsible for managing busy email inbox .
Updating Excel spreadsheets.
Communicating with patients regularly, both via telephone and electronically.
