We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and forward-thinking practice for 30 hours per week, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident ANP who enjoys autonomous clinical practice within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Main duties of the job

The Role

You will work as a key part of our same-day and first contact and pre booked care team, managing a broad range of minor illness and primary care presentations, including -

  • Acute minor illness such as coughs, colds, sore throats and ear complaints
  • Dermatology and common skin conditions
  • Minor infections and acute presentations
  • First contact mental health presentations
  • Womens health support including HRT reviews
  • Prescribing within your scope of practice

You will run autonomous clinics within our total triage model, supported by GP colleagues where required. You will be an Independent Prescriber (V300) or working towards this qualification or have as a part of your qualification.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate ANP who is confident in managing minor illness presentations and working independently within primary care.

About us

Who We Are

We care for approximately 13,100 patients in the leafy suburbs of Derby, serving a largely older population. We operate a structured total triage system which supports same-day urgent care while protecting clinician time and reducing unnecessary administrative burden.

Our Practice Manager, Emma, leads an exceptional clinical and administrative team, where the culture of improvement for patients and a good working environment is key. The adminstrative team filter routine results and correspondence, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care rather than paperwork. Also protected time is made available for regulatory training and in house coaching and development.

You will work alongside:

  • Three GP Partners
  • Four Salaried GPs
  • One ANP and One Nurse Practitioner
  • Two Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant
  • One PCN Pharmacist & One Pharmacy Tech A Care Coordinator
