About us
Who We Are
I am Dr Ben Mills, one of four partners at Mickleover Medical Centre.
We care for around 13,100 patients in the leafy suburbs of Derby, largely an older demographic. Our Practice Manager, Emma, leads an outstanding administrative team that filters normal results and routine correspondence so clinicians can focus on patient care.
You will work alongside, three other Partners, five reliable Salaried Doctors, two Nurse Practitioners, two Practice Nurses, a Health Care Assistant, two PCN Pharmacists, a First Contact Physio and a Care Coordinator. We are also human outside work: cyclists, bakers, hikers, kickboxers and even bell ringers. Not got a dog? We will lend you one.
Why Join Us?
- Supportive clinical team with a strong ethos of shared learning and collaboration
- Streamlined workflows and minimal routine paperwork thanks to an excellent admin set up
- Great location with good schools, easy transport links and the Derbyshire countryside on the doorstep
- Development opportunities as part of a 10 practice PCN of around 100,000 patients with enhanced roles and services including a home visiting team and extended access clinics
- Future focused with ambitions to become a training practice and to help shape the direction of the PCN
