GP Partner or Salaried GP with a view to Partnership

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

There are plenty of advertisements for GP Partner or Salaried GP with a view to partnership roles out there, but why choose us?

Due to retirement and expanding list size, we would like to offer you the opportunity to join our team as a (6-8) session Partner or as a Salaried GP with a view to Partnership in the future.

We are a c13000 patient practice in the Leafy suburbs of Derby, caring for a generally older population, with less deprivation than the nearby city centre. You can expect a diverse population nonetheless with the growth of housing in the local area.

Main duties of the job

But can you fill these boots?

Charming and chirpy.

Tenacious but not pugnacious.

Empathic but not a push over.

Skin as thick as an elephants elbow.

Furiously busy, leaning in not leaning back - but with a well-developed off switch.

A completer not just a starter.

A Team player, more often a team leader.

Still thrilled and fulfilled by the Good Things we can do in General Practice?

Our interests also lie outside the practice as part of an 11 practice, c100k patient PCN which provides for example a visiting service and first contact physio, more ARRS roles and our pharmacists. Weve close links to the PCN and have opportunity to influence and be a part of future direction.Becoming a training practice is one of our new building goals, when we have the space.

Living here? Great local schools both state and private, mix of independent retailers and modern mall in Derby town Centre, along with Nottingham down the road, with Sheffield and Birmingham an hour away with all their shopping and entertainment offers. But we think the up hills and down dales of the Derbyshire countryside is the big attraction, the bucolic battery recharger, so dust off your hiking boots. The only thing we cant give you is the seaside and traffic jams - but thats what six weeks holiday is for and with an extra study week thrown in - should refresh the mind.

Being a GP is tough. Being part of a friendly, efficient team really helps. Contact the Practice Manager Emma if you want to learn more.

About us

Our team enjoys a 'fuddle' regularly, peoples land mark birthdays and length of service are celebrated along with milestone achievements.

We are a solution based thinking Practice, where all ideas matter and it is important that the team work together regardless of background or job role.

Holidays are six weeks, with an additional week's study leave and once a month we have protected learning time on an afternoon, where we come together as a whole team and spend time in our sub teams after to discuss ways of working and clinical supervision.

We encourage furthering education and work with the PCN and Health Education Derby to grow our people.

Summer BBQ's at one of the Partner's places and Christmas Do's are also part of our social calendar (Covid permitting!).

Job description

Job responsibilities

We will not insult your intelligence by explaining the role of a GP in a practice.

It is as you are trained and qualified for.

If you have specialisms or want to grow into a specialism then we will encourage this.

If you are just out of VTS, then we are the practice for you. Our team are very inclusive and supportive. We have our own inhouse coach in our Practice Manager.

Generally speaking our GP's see 15 patients in a morning, 14 in the afternoon or late evening. They all take a turn on call - which is supported by our ANPs and the Home visit service and is a diverse session where acute need is the primary role. GP's will also take a portion of the clinical administration where actions are required such as abnormal blood results or letters from hospitals etc.We also offer a morning or afternoon session every fortnight or monthly depending on sessions per week to support clinical admin workload and MDT work.
