  • The Practice is situated in a great location in the Benton area of Newcastle upon Tyne and is within walking distance of local shops and metro/bus services.
  • Due to longstanding GP Partnership and a stable workforce we have managed to maintain operating as a family orientated GP practice by ensuring the GPs meet up daily to discuss patient cases and workloads with not only each other, but community colleagues also. We believe by doing this we are not only able to ensure workload is continued to be shared fairly, but also able to ensure continuity of care to our patients is provided as best we can. We have regular team meetings and work very closely as a practice, promoting an open, transparent & positive work culture.
  • We are an established teaching practice with a GP Registrar and a commitment to teach medical students in Years 3, 4 and 5 on a rotation basis.
  • The 2023 GP Patient survey showed positive feedback in all areas of our service provision with above average percentages in our locality and nationally.
  • We are ranked in the top 300 practices within the country. Our recent CQC inspection rating is Good.

Main duties of the job

  • As a Salaried GP the post holder will be a key clinician within our team, providing general medical services and dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
  • Opportunities for portfolio working and development of specialist clinical interest roles would be nurtured.
  • Our current GP appointment ledgers are all 15 minute appointments for both telephone and Face2Face.
  • Our salaried GP would have potential partnership opportunity in the future.
  • Prospective candidates are encouraged to contact our Co Practice Managers, Beth Foster / Michelle Weldon, for informal discussions and visits.

About us

  • Our practice team consists of four GP Partners, a practice nursing team including an ANP, a prescribing Pharmacist and other PCN staff including a Mental Health Practitioner who are all supported by a number of experienced administrative staff.
  • We currently are an Emis Web practice, however we are working towards migrating to SystmOne by 31st January 2024.
