Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant in Primary Care, you will work closely with our nursing and clinical teams to deliver high-quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, ECGs, wound care, blood pressure monitoring, vaccinations (under PSD), and assisting with minor procedures and clinics including coil and implant fittings. Youll manage your own booked clinics in a consulting room and support other services across the site, including the Community Investigation Hub.
You will also be involved in essential administrative tasks such as specimen handling, maintaining clinical supplies, checking emergency equipment, and keeping treatment rooms clean and prepared. All tasks will be performed within your scope of practice, under appropriate supervision, and in line with training and protocols.
This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and a caring, professional attitude. Prior experience in a clinical setting, especially in general practice, is highly desirable.
