Practice Nurse The Springs Medical Partnership, Clowne
We are seeking a motivated, patient-centred Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at The Springs Medical Partnership. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our local community.
As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing services within the primary care setting.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the management of long-term conditions, delivering immunisations and vaccinations, undertaking health promotion and screening activities, and assisting with chronic disease clinics. You will work closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and other members of the wider team to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and personalised care.
Our practice serves a growing community of over 11,500 patients. This is a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, where you will be instrumental in meeting the diverse and evolving needs of our patient population.

Main duties of the job
About the role:
The post holder will provide evidence-based treatment room care, support long-term condition management, and deliver immunisation and screening programmes. Key areas of work include:
Treatment room duties: wound care, ECGs, injections, ear care, blood pressure monitoring, venepuncture
Immunisations: childhood and adult vaccinations, seasonal flu and COVID campaigns
Long-term condition reviews: management of diabetes, respiratory conditions, and cardiovascular disease
Screening and checks: cervical cytology (if trained) and NHS Health Checks
Clinical governance: safeguarding, infection prevention and control (IPC), and medicines management in line with national standards
Record keeping and quality improvement: accurate clinical documentation and contribution to audits and quality improvement projects
About You
You will be:
A Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration
Skilled in core treatment room practice (or willing to develop)
A strong communicator with a compassionate, person-centred approach
Organised, reliable, and confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
Experienced in general practice or keen to grow into the role with support and training
