Newgate Medical Group is a single practice Primary Care Network. Newgate PCN's objective is to improve health & wellbeing of more than 30,000 residents we serve in Worksop.
Newgate PCN is looking for an enthusiastic & highly motivated qualified Physicians Associate to join our team to provide care for our patients from initial history taking & clinical assessment through to diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of care. You will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process, including assessment & diagnostic skills leading to the delivery of safe care for all patients.
You would be joining a well established team who pride themselves on patient care and looking after each other.
The Physician Associate will independently assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, coordinating with other primary and secondary healthcare services as appropriate. There is an expectation that the Physician Associate will attend to patients within the practice and at their own homes or care homes and will coordinate care with other members of the organisation team and external providers.
Whilst the PA role is not able to prescribe independently at present, the expectation will be to make recommendations regarding drug treatment and medication reviews.
Appropriate training and mentoring will be provided as necessary.
Main duties of the job
Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services in the practice as agreed by the partners.
Provide direct clinical care to patients using established guidelines.
Consult and refer patients on to other medical specialist & physicians.
Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, analyse, diagnose and explain medical problems during consultations & home visits (if needed).

Provide
