Fixed term salaried GP
from April until January 2026 working four sessions Tuesday and Wednesday. Must
be available to work August 2024. This is to cover parental leave of another GP
in our team and sudden unexpected illness of the previous arranged cover.
Bottisham Medical Practice offering £11,200 per
annum per session pro-rata. (£44,800 per annum for 4 sessions)

Capped appointment lists 13 appointments per
session (3 of which are phone calls & 10 Face to face)
Half day duty sessions, shared on rotation
Main duties of the job
Clinical careProvide
direct clinical care, such as diagnosing patients, prescribing medication, attending home visits and completing care home ward rounds if required and duty doctor sessions

About us
Bottisham medical practice is a semi-rural practice just North of
Cambridge within the Cambridge City PCN. We have a patient population of around
5900 patients. We provide medical services to our local care homes. We do not
staff the extended hours or out of hours services. Working hours 8:30am - 6pm.
No weekends. Our team is our greatest asset - a friendly team with a warm
caring ethos where patient continuity is valued. 3 of our 7 GPs were former
trainees at the practice. We have a practice manager, operations manager and
workflow team. The workflow team ensure a low admin load for the GP team due to
their excellent coding and care navigation. We close for half a day a month for
a team pizza lunch and training. Access to JET and UWAC and our practice
paramedic ensure home visits are shared out fairly.

All applicants should have
the following qualifications:
Ideally 3 years post CCT
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
Good understanding and experience of chronic
disease management, and primary prevention and screening services
Care home GP experience would be a bonus
GP trainer experience
would be a bonus
Ability to take responsibility for your own
career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring
that all your mandatory training is in date
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice
policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection,
health and safety
Commitment to life-long learning and audit to
ensure evidence-based best practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
in a confidential manner.
