Job summary

We are delighted to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced HCA to join our small, friendly team at Yorkleigh Surgery, working 16 hours per week.

The Practice prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming environment for staff and patients. We provide quality clinical care to approximately 8000 patients and have worked to establish close connections within the local community, including nursing and residential homes, pharmacies, the District Nursing Team and other healthcare professionals.

We are also proud to be part of Central PCN, named 2023 PCN of the Year at the General Practice awards.

Main duties of the job

Actively partake in duties associated with general practice healthcare, in line with Practice policies and procedures. Which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Dressings and wound care
  • Long term condition reviews
  • Opportunistic health promotion
  • Venepuncture
  • Stock monitoring
  • Clinical administration
  • Infection control tasks

About us

Alongside our GP Partners our clinical team consists of two salaried GPs, one ANP, two Practice Nurse's, one HCA and one Phlebotomist as well as the extended team of Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and First Contact Practitioners.

They are supported by a committed team of care navigators, administrative support and managerial team

As a smaller team we work collaboratively to ensure we are achieving the high standards that we attain to and are providing care to our patients to be proud of.
