Colliery Court Medical Group are recruiting a part-time
Medical Receptionist to join our very busy reception team to provide a
friendly, efficient, effective and helpful service to the practice population.

Main duties of the job
You will be the first contact our patients, visitors, third party organisations will have with our practice, so you must be friendly, approachable, empathetic, efficient and an excellent communicator.
We are looking for:
1x post of 22.5 hours per week over 3 days (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) shift patterns 8.00am - 4.30pm, 10am - 6.30pm.
You will also be required to participate in the extended hours rota from 18:30 until 20:00 on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, approximately once per month.
£12.51ph, no less than minimum wage.

- Answer and make telephone calls, sending texts and emails
- Book appointments and home visits in line with the practice protocol
- Signpost patients to attached services
- Deal with patient queries in person, on the telephone, via email and online
- Process requests for repeat medication
- Open incoming mail
- Process data including changes to patients details and new patient registrations.
- Scan and import hospital letters, results and other correspondence accurately into patient electronic records
- Provide general assistance to the practice team
- Project a positive, professional and friendly image to patients and other visitors either in person or on the telephone
- EMIS web and GP Practice experience beneficial but not essential.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Practice Operations Manager or Practice Business Manager, within the scope of the post
