An exciting opportunity to join an experienced Practice Nurse Team covering a maternity leave.
We are looking for someone to work 2 days in the practice focusing on respiratory LTC Reviews but open to combining this with some treatment room work.
Main duties of the job
Primarily this role is to support the disease management of our patients with respiratory LTC's - asthma and COPD.

We are a very friendly practice with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff. We have 6 partners, 5 salaried GP's, 4 ACP's a Clinical Pharmacy team, Practice Nurse Team, MSK practitioners, Social Prescriber and in-house counsellor all supported by an experienced management team.

Job responsibilities
To perform Asthma and COPD reviews in line with national guidelines, including Peak Flow Readings, FENO & referral for Spirometry.
Some treatment room and general nursing duties as follows:
Cytology
Wound care
Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations in line with national and local patient group directives.
Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate
Other tasks will include
Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
Maintain and document accurate medical records at all times according to NMC guidelines.
Recognise and manage anaphylaxis according to current UK guidelines
Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.
Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
