Job summary

We are looking for a salaried GP to join our practice, as a member of our acute care team. This role allows for a varied workload, without the administration that comes with a patient list. Would suit perhaps a newly qualified GP wanting to gain experience, or a mid-life GP with family responsibilities or perhaps an experienced GP wanting to step back but not entirely.

Main duties of the job

  • Up to 6 sessions per week- can be worked flexibly over 3, 4 or 5 days with flexible start and finish time.
  • Very manageable workload of:
    • 25 patients a day (including GP-to-book only slots for your own follow up)
    • 15-minute appointments with catch up slots.
    • Mainly same day acute work with some chronic disease.Wide variety of patient presentations.
    • Manage own admin
  • Non patient list-holding (although negotiable if wished)
  • GP Partner mentor
  • Daily time set aside for informal case discussions or just a cuppa.
  • You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
