Job summary

Central Surgery are looking to recruit a Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding team, we are a patient centered practice in South Shields with excellent road links to Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham. Rated good by CQC across all domains and outstanding in caring for vulnerable people.

We have several 'Team building events each year' which are largely social and give the staff time off to interact with other members of the team in a relaxing way

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced nurse with a prescribing qualification who, acting within their professional boundaries will provide care for the presenting patient from their initial history taking, clinical assessment,diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision making and expert care. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team, supporting and delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership if required. The post holder may also have an interest in paediatrics

About us

We are a team of doctors,pharmacists,nurses and administrators providing care to 20,000 patients at Central Surgery in South Shields. We have two small satellite surgeries serviced by 1WTE Gp most of the work is at our main site which is modern and purpose built.

We are a stable team with few changes in personnel, CQC rated good. We are highly organised for QOF the administrative team take the lead for this area.

Job Summary

The post holder is an experienced nurse with a prescribing qualification who, acting within their professional boundaries who will provide care for the presenting patient from their initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
