Dalton Surgery

Salaried GP

The closing date is 31 January 2026

Job summary

We are a friendly, well-established GP practice with around 7,000 patients, providing high-quality care to our local community. As a training practice, we take pride in nurturing future healthcare professionals and maintaining a supportive, collaborative team culture.

Following the retirement of our Senior Partner,we are looking to refresh and expand our clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated GP to join us at a time of positive change and growth.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a 6-session salaried GP to work on Tuesday AM, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday AM. The role includes a balanced mix of clinical sessions, triage and admin time and opportunities to contribute to practice development.

  • We have a dynamic way of working where all clinical staff help out with on-call duties not overburdening one member of staff. On-call duties and home visits are generally not busy.
  • You will work closely with our experienced GPs, nurses, and administrative team in a supportive environment.
  • There is excellent potential to develop special interests and contribute to teaching and training, particularly if you are interested in becoming a GP trainer or supporting GP registrars.

About us

  • A friendly, cohesive team with a culture of mutual support
  • Newly established GP training and teaching environment, looking to expand this if the new doctor is interested in being a GP trainer
  • Opportunities for professional development, involvement with the PCN or ICB if you wish
  • Modern clinical systems and efficient administrative support
  • Encouragement for new ideas and innovation within the practice
