Job summary
Richmond Medical and Whitefield HC are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our team working under the supervision of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners working to provide direct care and support to the patient as delegated by the qualified nurse team and Doctors. Maintain a clean safe environment for patients and relatives. Contribute to maintaining the practices philosophy of care. To be able to provide a high standard of nursing care and support to patients.
Main duties of the job
To work closely with the Practice Nursing team and Doctors
NHS Health Checks, Enhanced Health Checks and LD Health Checks
Annual Hypertension, CKD, CHD health reviews
Diabetic foot checks
ECG recording
Feno Testing
Foot checks
Phlebotomy
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patient's health and well being
Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Blood pressure checks
Administering flu (and other) vaccinations
B12, Shingles and Flu injections (with additional Training)
Helping with all other chronic condition monitoring, to assist Chronic Disease management following practice protocols.
To be responsible for organising own workload as the main resource for Cardiovascular disease clinics checks for the housebound and practice population
Assisting GPs with minor surgery
