Job summary

Morrab Surgery, in the picturesque coastal town of Penzance, Cornwall, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our committed team.

Main duties of the job

  • Medication Management:Assist in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Support the practice in maintaining an efficient and safe medication supply chain.
  • Patient Support:Provide advice and support to patients regarding their medications, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and any potential side effects.
  • Clinical Support:Work alongside GPs and other healthcare professionals to optimise medication use, including conducting medication reviews and supporting chronic disease management.
  • Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate patient records, manage stock levels, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Quality Improvement:Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the practice's medication management processes.
  • Education and Training:Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development.
