Job summary

We are a friendly, innovative, mutually supportive, and progressive practice who are looking to recruit a Nursing Assistant to join our existing team. We can be flexible with hours and salary for the right candidate. Please explain your requirements and expectations within the application.

  • PMS list: approximately 10600 patients
  • 7 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 3 Physician Associates and 1 Advanced Clinical Practitioner
  • We have 2 surgeries within the Barnsley Central area
  • We are committed to high standards of clinical care, providing additional services and success in QOF achievement
  • We provide nurse-led minor illness clinic and chronic disease clinics
  • We are a training practice

Main duties of the job

Essential

  • Highly motivated & enthusiastic
  • Team player
  • Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT skills basic level for Word and Outlook and internet explorer
  • Willingness to expand on skills & knowledge

Desirable

  • Cytology trained
  • Vaccinations & Immunisation trained

  • Awareness of accountability of own role and other roles in a general practice
  • Experience of Primary care
  • Ability to identify determinants on health in the local area
  • Experience of working on SystmOne

About us

We are a large established training practice, looking to add to our existing Nursing/HCA team.

The surgeries are located centrally and easy to get to from the M1 and surrounding areas.

Our main site at Worsbrough is a purpose built 'LIFT' building and our branch surgery at Gold Street is a purpose built privately owned surgery.
