We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced receptionist to join a friendly and high-achieving General practice with over 11,000 patients.
Previous general practice experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who is flexible with excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills who enjoys dealing with the public.
Good telephone skills are essential and the successful applicant will have experience in using computer equipment for data entry.
The Practice is an EMIS WEB user.

Main duties of the job
A brief description of duties would be working under the Reception Manager ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Being the face of the surgery when patients attend for their appointments when working the front desk.
Use and navigate EMIS web on a daily basis.
Receiving incoming phone calls and making outgoing calls when required.
Completing daily administrative tasks, emails, dashboard, tasks, docman and anything else that can arise.
Actioning prescription requests.

Emmer Green Surgerys current site has been open since 1980. We have over 11,000 patients registered and cover the Caversham and Emmer Green areas in association with Balmore Park Surgery, as part of the Caversham PCN.
Currently we have 6 GP Partners and 3 associate GPs. Our additional clinical support team includes:

A vast admin and reception team work together with clinicians to maintain the best health care standards for our patients.
We provide care and support to five different care and learning disability homes, and a private school in our local area.

visitors at the reception in a polite and friendly manner

most appropriate service.

dealing with queries and recording messages accurately
