GP Partners and Practice Manager

The post holder will provide high quality primary medical services to the practice population, working as part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team. The role includes a mix of clinical consultations, administrative responsibilities, and contribution to the ongoing development of the practice. The successful candidate will deliver patient centred care in line with evidence based guidance and the values of the NHS.

• Provide consultations via face to face, telephone, and online modalities

• Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions

• Provide appropriate followup and safety netting advice

• Request and interpret investigations, referring patients appropriately

• Provide proactive and preventive care, including health promotion and screening

• Participate in safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

• Manage clinical correspondence, results, and repeat prescriptions

• Maintain accurate, timely, and high quality clinical records

• Contribute to QOF, IIF, and other quality improvement initiatives

• Support the practice in meeting contractual and regulatory requirements

• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, and wider MDT

• Attend clinical and practice meetings

• Participate in audit, significant event analysis, and clinical governance

• Engage in CPD and maintain professional re validation requirements

• Fully qualified GP with MRCGP (or equivalent)

• GMC registration with a licence to practise

• Inclusion on (or eligibility for) the NHS England Medical Performers List

• Evidence of ongoing CPD and compliance with re validation

• Eligibility to work in the UK

• Additional clinical qualifications or special interests (e.g., womens health, dermatology, minor surgery)

• Teaching or training qualifications (e.g., GP Trainer accreditation, PG Cert in Medical Education)

• Qualifications or experience in leadership, quality improvement, or research

• Experience working in general practice or primary care (including GP training placements)

• Ability to manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions independently

• Experience using clinical systems and digital consultation tools

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

• Demonstrated ability to manage clinical and administrative workload effectively

• Experience in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults

• Previous experience as a Salaried GP or GP Partner

• Experience in a dispensing practice

• Experience contributing to QOF, IIF, audits, or quality improvement projects

• Experience supervising trainees, students, or other clinicians

• Experience developing or delivering specialist clinics

Eye Health Centre is located in the attractive village of Eye, just off the A140. We are a well established, patient focused practice serving a diverse community and providing high quality primary care in a supportive and friendly environment.

Our team includes 2 GP Partners, a Practice Manager and Deputy Manager, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants, a dedicated group of Medical Secretaries and Receptionists, and an experienced Pharmacist team. As a dispensing practice, we also operate a busy and efficient dispensary service that supports our rural and semi rural population.

Experience

Essential

• Experience of working in a general practice or primary care setting (including GP training placements)
