Job summary
We have a rare opportunity for a qualified nurse to join our small, friendly team. The position will be well suited to an individual who has previous primary care nursing experience in chronic disease management.
Non-medical prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential.
Ideally we are looking for 16-24 hours per week, to be worked across two or three days, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Salary will be agreed based on qualification and experience. Range £20.44 - £25.26 per hour.
There will be opportunity to contribute to a Monday evening clinic, on a one in three rota, paid at an enhanced rate of pay.
Main duties of the job
Providing care for our patient community of 6,000 there will be opportunity to perform an extensive range of General Practice Nursing skills (dependent on qualification) including taking a lead role in the management of long-term conditions, cytology, family planning clinics (coils and implants) , childhood immunisation, the full range of vaccinations, and general treatment room duties.
Working within our multi-professional team of GPs, ACPs, MSK Physio, Mental health practitioner, Nurses, HCAs and GP Assistants, offers a diverse and interesting opportunity. We value the daily clinical catch-ups, where the clinical team are able to reflect on patient care over a cuppa.
The role is stimulating and varied and there will be training and CPD opportunities for the successful candidate.
