Phlebotomist

Job summary

We are excited to be looking to recruit our first in house phlebotomist after using bank staff for a number of years. The successful candidate will be responsible for a busy phlebotomy clinic seeing around 23 patient during each clinic.

We are looking for our phlebotomy service to run 3 mornings a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) with clinic sessions running 8am until 12noon.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a fully trained phlebotomist with all appropriate accreditation in place. The successful candidate will need to be an efficient phlebotomist to manage a busy clinic. On top of the role there will also be requirements to engage in practice procedures and to work as part of the wider nursing and practice team.

Market Surgery is a modern forward thinking practice based in Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham. We provide excellent primary care to almost 12,000 local residents from our modern purpose built premises with 18 clinical rooms using clinical system SystmOne.

The successful applicant will join a large team of staff who work at Market Surgery which currently consists of

9 GPs

4 Nurse Practitioners and a further team of 7 practice nurses, and healthcare assistants

Dedicated Reception and Administrative teams

In addition to our own staff, we also strive to provide a multidisciplinary offering to our patients. In practice we host a variety of differently skilled clinicians including Physiotherapists, Midwives, Dieticians and Mental Health workers.

Please note that due to practice policy, if you are currently a registered patient of Market Surgery, upon successful appointment to the role, you will be required to register yourself and your immediate family, with an alternative GP practice.
