Job summary
The North Riding Community Health Network are excited to offer an opportunity for a Physician Associate to join our expanding team and work across our member practices. We
already employ 3 PA's across the PCN where we have a supportive network for our
associates including our PA Ambassador for North Yorkshire and Humber.
The PCN offers and encourages
personal and professional development with great support pathways and tailored
supervision from senior clinicians. We encourage our PA's to build their own
peer support network within the PCN with regular meetings and communication
opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must
have excellent interpersonal skills and must act within their professional
boundaries, supporting and working alongside a multi-disciplinary team in
general practice. The roles are pivotal to improving the quality of care and
operational efficiencies within the PCN and therefore requires motivation and
passion to deliver excellent service within general practice.
The PA will provide care for
the presenting patient from initial history taking and clinical assessment
through to the diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will work
collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients,
supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The PA will provide a
holistic and clinical service, with support from GPs and other clinicians as
required, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols
as appropriate. There will be de-brief opportunities where required and ongoing
support from other members of the team.
About us
North
Riding Community Health Network was founded in 2019 and has four member
practices. We are located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and
our member practices are Ayton and Snainton Medical Practice, Ampleforth and
Hovingham Surgeries, Derwent Practice and Sherburn and Rillington Medical
Practice. We provide care to an overall patient population of 39,000. Each
member practice has a CQC rating of good in all areas and 3 out of the 4
practices are rural dispensing practices. Our aim is to deliver high quality
services for our patients, facilitated by working collaboratively, to better
respond to the needs of our local population. We are building a
multi-disciplinary clinical team to support our practices and offer new
