Part Time GP Receptionist

Job summary

Kingswell Surgery, Penistone is looking for a part-time receptionist/administrator to join our small and friendly training practice for between 16 and 24 hours per week. The ideal candidate should be a reliable, motivated, team player with good telephone and communication skills. We are open from 7.45 am until 6.30 pm and flexibility is essential as you will be required to work between these hours to meet the needs of the business and cover colleagues when required. Experience of working in a GP surgery is preferred however full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

You will form part of our friendly but hard-working reception/admin team, providing a professional, efficient and effective reception service to patients and health professionals alike. Confidentiality is an essential part of the role. Key responsibilities: Make, amend and cancel clinical appointments for patients using the Systm1 clinical system. Care navigate patients to the most appropriate health professional/service when booking appointments. Deal with and record accurate messages from clinicians and patients

Kingswell Surgery is a friendly, well-led, GP Training Practice with its own dispensary, caring for approximately 5500 patients in the heart of rural Penistone. We are committed to providing a high standard of clinical care and an excellent service to patients. Our clinical team is made up as follows: 3 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs. Our Admin team comprises of: Practice Manager, Assistant Manager, 2 Administrators, 4 Receptionists and 3 dispensers. We also have a number of staff in other funded roles who work at the practice, such as a care coordinator, health and wellbeing coach, clinical pharmacist etc.
