An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated Practice Manager, with strategic vision, to join the Courtyard Surgery a
growing practice, in the centre of Horsham town looking after circa 16,000
patients.
Horsham is
an affluent historic market town located in West Sussex, offers a charming mix
of historic architecture, picturesque parks, and scenic countryside. The town
is well-connected with excellent transport links, making it an ideal place to
live. Horsham also boasts a vibrant cultural scene with theatres, galleries,

Main duties of the job
- To ensure the effective and efficient management of the
Practice.
- Provide day-to-day management of all staff within the
Practice.
- Develop and maintain individual and team performance.
- Ensure the profitability and efficiency of the Practice,
in line with NHS, partners and legislative guidelines.
- Provide general guidance to the partners on any NHS
developments and legislative changes which may affect the general management of
the Practice
- Day-to-day financial management
- Overall responsibility for the HR function for all staff. Including recruitment, training, appraisals, contracts of employment, payroll & pension scheme arrangements
- Development, implementation & review of Practice Policies & Procedures

management experience, leadership skills, competency in office IT and effective
communication skills at all levels are essential. NHS management experience is
considered an advantage.
Working
alongside the Partners and supported by an excellent strong administrative and
clinical team you will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of this
patient centered practice. You will have the vision, willingness and drive to
move the practice forward and adapt to NHS targets and changes within a
profitable, effective and efficient working environment. You will lead the
practice into the new world of Primary Care Networks and integrated Care
systems.
