Job summary

We are looking to recruit two staff members to cover a total of 56.25 hours per week. We are open to appointing one full-time and one part-time member of staff, or two part-time staff, depending on the availability of suitable candidates.

We are flexible in how the hours are arranged; however, the successful applicants must be able to provide service cover between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

The role of MSK assistant will focus on the processing of incoming and ongoing referrals to the service. Previous applicants need not apply.

IG Medical is situated in West Yorkshire, we have 2 sites Ilkley Moor Medical Practice set in the picturesque town of Ilkley and Grassington Medical Centre in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We are a training practice and are a caring, forward thinking, committed team, whose aim is to improve the health of our community by delivering high quality patient care, whilst maintaining a fulfilling working environment for all.

Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, salaried GP's, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and our nursing team consists of Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. All supported by our hardworking Managers, reception and administrative teams.IG Medical also runs the Airedale and Bradford Musculoskeletal service.

The Airedale and Bradford Musculosketal service aims to see new patients with 6 weeks. Clinic locations are based at 6 GP practices within this locality. The highley trained team of experienced clinical professionals are able to treat and diagnose a range of conditions relating to bones, soft tissues, muscles, joints and ligaments. Diagnostic tests and treatment such as joint injections, radiology and pathology are able to be carried out also.

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. The role will be based in Ilkley but on occasion there may be a requirement to travel to one of our other sites.
