Job summary
The Patient Administrator roles will focus on the general face to face, telephone and administrative contacts with patients.
We have various part and full time roles available which will cover both our Ilkley and Grassington sites.
A car driver with own vehicle is essential for this role.
You will be
required to work both as a team and think on your own initiative. You must be
empathetic and caring and able to provide excellent customer service to our
patients.
All staff have access to Sovereign Healthcare Asset - Level 2 plan and a subscription to Perkbox.

Main duties of the job
a) Receiving and directing of patients on arrival
b) Open premises
c) Close and secure premises
d) Handle general enquiries and make new and follow-up appointments
e) Responsibility for helping people with non-medical problems. Ensure that appropriate attention, care and time given to patients, particularly the elderly, and issue relevant details of services available to them
f) Answer telephone and deal with or redirect enquiries to appropriate staff
g) Process PATCHS as per practice protocol
h) File and retrieve medical records
i) Photocopying
k) Liaise and provide clerical assistance when necessary for attached staff
l) Read and action emails, notifications and tasks appropriately
m) Assist with any other duties of an Administrative nature that may be required of you
n) Processing death certificates in a timely manner
o) Processing medical reports/insurance reports/DVLA requests etc in accordance with current Protocols
p) Relaying messages between clinicians and patients in a timely and polite manner
q) Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
r) Monitor and maintain the reception area
About us
IG Medical is situated in West Yorkshire with sites at Ilkley and Grassington. Our patient list is approximately 18,000.
Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, salaried GP's, 1 Advanced Clinical Practitioner, 2 First Contact Physiotherapists, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and our nursing team consists of Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. All supported by our hardworking Managers, reception and administrative teams.
