Job summary
With the recent addition of General Practitioners to the ARRS scheme we are looking to recruit a newly qualified salaried General Practitioner, on an initial fixed term contract based at Strawberry Hill Medical Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified GP to gain experience of working within a busy urban practice.
Main duties of the job
Days of the week worked are negotiable but a Wednesday and Thursday would be preferred. The day (two sessions) would consist of 25 patients face to face in line with BMA safe working and 1 visit if needed. Visit rates are low. The patients will be a mix of acute and routine patients, with a preference for acute. You will not be holding a patient list or be expected to work as the on-call, duty doctor.

Newbury is a thriving Market Town located along the M4 corridor. The region is relatively affluent and benefits from high employment levels. We are situated in the M4 tech corridor, notable employers include Vodafone and Stryker. Shopping, local amenities and schools are good. Reading is just a 30-minute drive away and the town and surrounding villages are ideally located for easy access into London, down to the West Country and north to Birmingham, Manchester and beyond.
