Main duties of the job
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and treating patients presenting with
minor illness
Ensure
clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of
competence, and to acknowledge limitations.
Advise
patients on general health care and minor ailments, with referral to other
members of the primary and secondary health care team as necessary
Providing assessment, screening, treatment services, and health
education advice:
Administration and professional responsibilities
Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments
are recorded in the patient's notes
Ensure the clinical computer system is kept up to date, with accurate
details recorded and amended
Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated
with patient health care and registration with the practice
Ensure the collection and maintenance of statistical information
required for regular and ad hoc reports and audits
Attend and participate in practice meetings as required
Meetings
Attend all
mandatory training sessions relevant to the role.
Contribute to various practice
meetings and clinical discussions as requested.

Ansdell
Medical Centre is a well-established GP practice located on Albany Road in
Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire. The practice provides NHS primary care services
to approximately 12,500 patients, making it one of
the larger practices in the local area.
The
partnership consists of four GP partners, supported by a skilled
multidisciplinary team that delivers a broad range of general medical services
and specialist clinics. In addition to the partnership team, we have five salaried GPs,
one
Physician Associate, and a selection of PCN
(primary care network) staff who provide further support across a wide
range of services here at Ansdell.
The
practice is committed to delivering accessible, patient centred care and
operates within modern, well equipped facilities designed

Undertake the collection of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs etc. Perform investigatory procedures requested by the GPs

All employees must carry out their responsibilities in such a way as to minimise risk of harm to children, young people and adults and to safeguard and promote their welfare in accordance with current legislation, statutory guidance and Trust policies and procedures.
