Have you considered 'leafy Lytham?' Our progressiveand friendly practice is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative salaried GP to join our team. The practice is situated in Ansdell and very close to Lytham and St Annes, which is well known for its modern cafes, bars, and restaurants. The town also boasts excellent local schools, offers great family facilities, features championship golf courses, local Rugby clubs, and hosts the ever-expanding annual Lytham Festival. Lytham benefits from excellent motorway links, just a short drive away from Manchester, but it is also very accessible by train and on a major bus route. Our Practice team comprises four GP partners, four salaried GPs, a Practice Pharmacist, Medicines Management team, and a highly skilled nursing team. Additionally, the team consists of members from the LSA primary care network, including a mental health practitioner, a first-contact physiotherapist, and a physician assistant. We offer an enthusiastic and supportive administration/reception staff. Our surgery is team-focused with regular team-building events.

We maintain good working relationships with local practices and are actively involved in the LSA Primary Care Network. A mentorship programme is offered for new team members, with encouragement of special interests. We hold daily lunchtime coffee meetings and monthly clinical meetings.

We provide a modern and progressive training practice for, FY2 and ST3s.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an experienced general practitioner, who acting within their professional boundaries; will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision- making and expert care for patients within the general practice.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

The post holder will build effective working relationships with other health care professionals.

The post holder will work within the team of clinicians to deliver excellent primary health care services within the practice.
