Job summary
We are looking for one or two enthusiastic and committed Salaried GPs to join our CQC Outstanding-rated practice from January 2026 to provide maternity cover. We require 4 to 8 sessions per week, for 6 to 12 months, with clarification subject to mutual agreement.
Interviews will be held for shortlisted candidates during the week of 3rd November.

Main duties of the job
- Sessions: 4 to 8 per week (flexible)
- Contract: Fixed term 6 to 12 months
- Duties: Routine surgeries, home visits, participation in the duty doctor rota (approximately one day every other week), and associated administrative tasks
- Professional Development: Weekly Gold Standard Framework meetings, PLT attendance, study leave, and opportunities for teaching medical students and GP registrars

- Requirements: GMC registration and General Practice CCT with a licence to practise in the UK

Duty doctor sessions managed via AccuRx total triage. Full training and support provided.

Home visits as clinically required, taken from clinical session time (not additional to workload).

Non-Clinical Duties

Administration time included: each session comprises 3 hours of clinical work and 1 hour of admin.

Covering the administrative workload list for patients ordinarily under the care of the doctor on maternity leave.

Review and action of results, correspondence, and tasks.

Contribution to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement activities.
