Job summary
Due to a valued member of our team retiring, 30 Kingsway Surgery requires 1 experienced Care Coordinator/Administrator to work on a part-time basis to join our small, friendly, and busy surgery, who can work under pressure and with initiative. Excellent I.T. skills are required. Our clinical system is EMIS web.
There will be some lone working and you may be responsible for opening/closing the building.
Hours: 25 hours per week over 5 days.
You will be required to cover for sickness and holidays.
Hours: (Subject to change, sometimes the changes can be within hours) with sickness.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Be able to cover all reception position as neccessary. Electronic processing of all workflow increasingly important

Manage patient appointments using the surgerys booking system.

Answer telephone calls promptly and handle enquiries efficiently. Directing patients based on their needs.

Registrations of new patients computer data and update patient records.

Process incoming and outgoing correspondence and messages.

Handle patient queries regarding prescriptions, referrals, and test results, directing them to appropriate clinical staff when necessary.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations at all times.

Support the clinical team by coordinating patient flow and managing waiting areas.

Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, read coding and managing incoming post.

Assist with billing and payment processing where applicable.
