Job summary
We are looking for a newly
qualified/experienced, enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our dedicated
team.
You would be joining a friendly
and dynamic practice team who serve a practice population of over 5800 patients
and aim to deliver modern primary care with the traditional feel of general
practice.
Salary: £10,000 per session, 4 sessions days with be negotiable
Preferably to start in February 2024

Main duties of the job
Provide high quality patient

Carry out surgery, telephone and
video consultations and undertake home visits

About us
Kingsway Surgery is a friendly GP Surgery. We are a training practice looking for a part time salaried GP to join our team.
We are 20 mins from Liverpool city centre with good motorway links.
We are a GMS practice comprising of a clinical teamof 2 GP partners supported by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant. The systems with use are EMIS web, AccuRx, PATCHS and Arden's templates.
We are very patient centred and have a good relationship with the patients many of whom we have known for generations.

- Provide high quality patient care including prevention, screening, treatment, management of chronic conditions and health promotion
- Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice protocols as well as wider guidance e.g. NICE
- Carry out surgery, telephone and video consultations and undertake home visits
- Speak and see patients promptly and in a timely manner. In order to minimise waiting times.
- Ensure appropriate follow up of patients
- Generate, check and sign acute and repeat prescriptions in-line with practice policy
- Transfer patients, where appropriate, to the repeat dispensing system
- Liaise with other team members and organisations involved in patient care and respond promptly to queries
- Investigate and refer patients as appropriate in line with current guidance
- Deal promptly with results and correspondence, clearly communicating any actions that are required
- Provide cover as needed, for all of the above, when other GPs are on leave
- When providing care ensure the judicious use of resources and NHS funds
- Keep clear and contemporaneous computerised consultation notes and patient records to agreed standards and in-line with practice policies
- Collect data for audit and QOF purposes
- Prescribe generically whenever appropriate and in accordance with the Practice formulary, commissioning and national guidance
- Maintain high levels of communication with patients and carers to ensure effective delivery of care

- Contribute in developing new areas of work, improving existing services and attending team meetings as required.

- Ability to work with limited supervision. IT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems (the practice use EMIS Web). Excellent time keeping, exceptional team player, good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and QOF
