Job summary

Stapenhill Medical Centre in Burton upon Trent has an exciting new opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join us on a part time basis (27 hours) with a salary range between £33-37,000 DOE.

The ideal candidate would be qualified to Masters Level and hold the independent prescriber qualification. The candidate would be required to work autonomously undertaking a mixture of routine same day appointments, minor illnesses, emergency care work and telephone triage. The successful applicant will be required to work in the surgery setting but also in the patients own home including care homes.

The successful candidate would be expected to assist the practice with its Quality and Outcomes Framework programme.

The Practice uses SystmOne TPP clinical software.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nursing leadership as required. In order to work at this level, NMC requirements for advanced practice must be met.

About us

We are a highly productive Practice always looking to provide excellent care and new services to our patients.

We currently have two full-time Partners, assisted by three salaried GP's, two Clinical Pharmacists, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses and one Healthcare Assistant.

With a patient list currently in excess of 9,000 and growing, and with the development of new services, we are seeking to recruit to address our future needs.

We are a friendly well established Practice with high QOF scores and a Good CQC rating.
