Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated member of staff to join our practice team on a fixed term contract for a minimum of 6 months. You must be accurate, have good communication skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work flexibly in the absence of colleagues. This role will cover both secretarial and administrative duties.
Please note: Applicants MUST have previous GP secretarial experience using SystmOne, please do not apply if you do not have the relevant experience.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide secretarial and administrative support duties to the Office Manager/Practice Manager to enable the practice to
meet agreed aims and objectives within a courteous, efficient, safe and
effective way.
About us
We are a highly productive Practice always looking to
provide excellent care and new services to our patients.
We currently have three full-time Partners, assisted by
three employed GP's, two Pharmacists, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two
Practice Nurses and one Healthcare Assistant.
With a patient list currently in excess of 9,500 and
growing, and with the development of new services, we are seeking to recruit to
address our current and future needs.
We are a friendly well established Practice with high QOF
scores and a Good CQC rating.
The successful applicant will work within our team to
deliver an excellent service to our patients. Good communication and
organisational skills are essential. Candidates must be flexible, reliable,
have the ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a busy and
pressurised environment.
The Practice uses SystmOne Clinical System and experience
using this IS required.

ERS referrals
Email referrals
A&G referrals
Imaging/Radiology referrals
Manage and maintain clinics for GPs, ANPs, Nurses and Pharmacist.
Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patients needs
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Communicate effectively with all other team members
Maintain confidentiality at ALL times
GP2GP computer records
GP2GP links; amendments, rejections, FP69s
Electronic removal of patients and sending of paper and computer records to PCSE
Summarisation of new patients clinical records
Set up of staff on systmone
Set up of smart cards
Unlocking smartcards
Monitor trainee hols and study leave
Patient deductions
Summarising of all new patient notes (scanning of profiles and putting away notes)
GP2GP extracts and degraded entries
GP links (daily)
Close of quarter
Rejected links queries
SCR updates
Smear audit
Smear invites done on open Exeter (PNL & PEC)
Smear failsafe searches
