The job will entail working in reception
and the administration office doing reception and administration duties as well
as supervision of both teams.
Expected hours 29 hours minimum spread over 5
days, Monday to Friday
Occasional evening, weekend shift work may be
required
Salary negotiable depending on experience

Main duties of the job
To ensure the steady running of the office on a day-to-day
basis and manage the team of administration and reception staff.
The successful applicant will work within our team to deliver an excellent service to our patients. Good communication and organisational skills are essential. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, have the ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a busy and pressurised environment.
About us
We are a highly productive Practice always looking to
provide excellent care and new services to our patients.
We currently have three full-time Partners, assisted by
three employed GP's, two Pharmacists, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two
Practice Nurses and one Healthcare Assistant.
With a patient list currently in excess of 9,500 and
growing, and with the development of new services, we are seeking to recruit to
address our current and future needs.
We are a friendly well established Practice with high QOF
scores and a Good CQC rating.

Job responsibilities
- Managing work-flow, ensuring efficiency within
Reception & Admin teams
- Suggesting improvements to improve flow
- Organising induction programmes for new
employees, training new staff and supervising staff to ensure uniformity in
outcome
- Spot checking calls to ensure quality control
- Coaching staff on telephone answering technique
- Troubleshooting and spotting deficiencies,
supervising and monitoring the work of the reception and admin teams to ensure
they are competent
- Ensuring mandatory training of all staff is kept
up to date
- Improve signposting of patients to the correct
service or clinician
- Reception & admin rota management
- Keeping reception policies and guidelines up to
date
- Organising induction programmes for new
