Main duties of the job
The role is responsible for the management of the
nursing, pharmacy, clinical rota and business intelligence team ensuring
appropriate services are delivered effectively to the entitled patient
population. Through innovative ways of working, leading teams ensuring robust
process are in place that are compliant to NHS contracting and maximise
financial incentivised enhanced services to support the sustainability of
general practice. Support the
wider management team in leading in promoting ED&I, SHEF, Quality & CI,
Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and
Development and ensuring the practice complies with CQC regulations.

Job responsibilities
- To
support in the delivery of enhanced services and other service requirements on
behalf of the Primary Care Network
- Support delivery of QOF, IIF and enhanced
services and other quality or cost effectiveness initiatives
- Guide the administrative elements of QOF,
liaising with GPs, nursing staff and administrators
- To oversee the delivery of public health
campaigns such as flu ensuring effective delivery and financial viability
- Robust recall systems in place which
ensures every patient contact is maximised for the effective management of
patients with long-term conditions
- Continually review clinical practices,
responding to national policies and initiatives in conjunction with the Lead
nurse and Lead pharmacist
- In conjunction with the Nurse lead ensure
appropriate nursing services are available that meet contractual requirements.
- To improve patients, experience of requesting medication through an
assessable and timely process.
- Oversee an effective process to ensure
compliance with PGDs
- Lead the planning and implementation of resources
to cover the Clinical Care teams periods of leave and low staffing levels to
ensure continuation of provision of services to patients
- To supervise the management of nursing and pharmacy led clinical
services provided at PCN level and identify opportunities for quality
improvement and new initiatives initiating bids for resources and service
delivery
- Solid investment in staff through
regular scheduled meetings, appraisals, 1:1 opportunity, with a mechanism to
constructively feedback ideas and suggestions to maximise a high-performance
culture
- Ensuring all staff in the clinical care teams
have the appropriate level of training to enable them to carry out their
individual roles and responsibilities effectively
- Oversee the management of the clinical rotas
ensuring accuracy and effectiveness to support operational capabilities
- Ensure through delegation that the clinical
system offers appropriate tools for all clinical care teams to record clinical activity,
and these are continually updated
- To work closely with the
wider team to improve practice resilience and access to excellent care using
quality improvement techniques
- Direct line management of the Deputy Clinical
Care Managers
- Deputise for the Head of Operations in periods
of absence
- Point of contact for the Patient Services teams
in periods of absence of the Patient Services Manager

staff appraisals as required ensuring and clinical care team have appropriate

- Identify trends and devise solutions to reduce
