About the Role

Broadshires Health Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Nursing Associate or Health Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Main duties of the job

Working under the supervision of our experienced nursing team and in line with practice guidelines and protocols, you will support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities may include (depending on your training and competence):

  • Venepuncture to obtain blood samples (following clinician referral)

  • Performing ECGs

  • Basic wound care

  • Blood pressure checks

  • Other clinical and administrative tasks typically undertaken by a Nursing Associate or Health Care Assistant

Additional responsibilities may be agreed upon with the Lead Nurse, appropriate to your skills, experience, and training.

  • A qualified Nursing Associate (NMC registered) or an experienced Health Care Assistant

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A caring, professional, and proactive approach to patient care

  • Willingness to develop and learn within a supportive practice environment

Broadshires Health Centre is a friendly, patient-focused GP surgery in Carterton, serving around 13,000 registered patients. The practice has two GP partners, five salaried GPs, and a dedicated nursing team of five nurses, one health care assistant, and two phlebotomist, all committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to the local community.
