Job summary
St John's Way Medical Centre is looking for a 5 session Salaried GP to join our team. The position is available to start from November.
We offer 6 weeks annual leave excluding bank holidays + 1 week study leave (pro rata).
We welcome applications from GPs at all career stages.
The sessions required include Thursday AM and all day Friday.
Main duties of the job
We operate a total triage system that is doctor-led. The post-holder will, therefore, be expected to do triage sessions. Our duty doctor session (for urgent, on-the-day appointments) is separate to this. A typical session is a mixture of face-to-face and telephone appointments, with the usual appointment duration being 15 minutes. We currently operate a usual GP system, so the post-holder will be expected to manage a caseload.
About us
We are a training practice in Archway, North London serving a diverse population of 12000+ patients. Our clinical team comprises of eleven GPs, a well-established nursing team, and a wide-ranging multidisciplinary ARRS team including an ANP, pharmacists and first contact physiotherapist. We have weekly team meetings, focused on holistic patient management, and team education. We strongly value a collaborative and supportive working environment, and we are supportive of staff developing their interests. We are located near to Archway tube station with limited parking so the role would be suited for someone comfortable with public transport.
