Job summary
We are seeking a positive, caring and self- motivated newly
qualified GP to join our experienced clinical team, on a fixed term basis
funded through the ARRS scheme. This is subject to renewal after March 2027 depending
on ongoing funding and requirements of the practice. The applicant must be
within 2 years of completing their CCT at the time of appointment. They must
not have had substantive employment within a GP practice and/or be employed in
a temporary capacity or as a locum. We also ask that they are eligible to work in
the UK; we will not be able to offer sponsorship for this position.
This position is for 4 sessions per week at £10000 per session per year (including Friday)
Main duties of the job
The post holder can expect to work in an encouraging and supportive practice environment. They will undertake a range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care in a timely manner. The job plan will be based on the principles of the BMA Safe Working Guidance.

Front Street Surgery has been open for over 40 years and we have approximately 8500 patients. Our main branch is in Acomb with a satellite branch in Copmanthorpe. The post holder will be expected to work from both sites. We are a very friendly and supportive team, led by a team of 4 experienced and forward-thinking partners. We offer a multi-skilled clinical team which comprises of 10 GPs, practice nurses, HCAs, phlebotomist and we also have a PCN physiotherapist and mental health practitioner. As a training practice, with HYMS, we welcome a diverse and everchanging selection of students and registrars.
